Grape type and region

 

The Tinta del País grape variety forms the basis of our winery’s production with a weight of 90% and is complemented by another 10% of the Albillo variety. The first offers long and conical clusters, with tight grains, rough skins and, firm and colorless flesh. The Albillo variety is cultivated in Madrid, Ávila and Galicia. It is also known as Pardina in the DO Ribera del Duero and Cigales. It is a grape with a high glycerol index, which confers softness to the wines, with good acidity and alcohol.

• FEATURES:
Selected manual harvest. Controlled fermentation at 22ºC.

• TASTING CARD:
Cherry red color with a purple rim, medium layer. Clean and bright appearance. Medium high aromatic intensity. Sweet nose with notes of red and black berries, blackberries, raspberries and berries. Memories of licorice. On the palate soft and very pleasant entry. Easy mid palate thanks to a very polished, silky and non-astringent tannin. Fresh acidity and good balance on the palate.

Milcampos Roble

100% Tempranillo from vineyards over 25 years old.

• FEATURES:
Selected manual harvest. Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 48 hours. Controlled fermentation below 28º C with autochthonous yeasts.

• AGING:
4 months in barrel.
100% American oak barrel.

• TASTING CARD:
Picota cherry red color with a medium-high robe and violet hues. On the nose aromas of black fruits reminiscent of blackberries, blueberries and plums. With a subtle touch of well integrated wood. Intense and pleasant on the palate, leaving a good memory of balsamic notes at the end.

• SERVING TEMPERATURE:
16-17ºC.

Milcampos Crianza

100% Tempranillo from old vineyards.

• FEATURES:
Selected manual harvest. Controlled fermentation below 28ºC.

• AGING:
12 months in barrel.
100% fine-grained American oak barrels.

• TASTING CARD:
Medium-high layer. Cherry red color with cardinal rims. On the nose, intense and elegant. Ripe fruit well assembled with notes of vanilla, toffee and coffee, contributed by the wood. On the palate, powerful and balanced. Its passage reminds us of its stay in wood, highly integrated with the sweet and ripe tannins of the wine itself. Round and persistent finish.

Milcampos Rosado

• GRAPE VARIETY:
100% Tempranillo.

• FEATURES:
Selected manual harvest. Red grape juice bleeding. Controlled fermentation below 15ºC.

• TASTING CARD:
Intense strawberry pink color, clean and with bright reflections. Great aromatic intensity where well-defined red fruits and citrus can be guessed. Floral aromas reminiscent of white flowers. The entry into the mouth is fresh and cheerful, slightly acid. Giving rise to a meaty and enveloping wine. The savory and sweet finish completes the complexity of this wine, giving it a good persistence.

Escondido

• GRAPE VARIETY:
100% Tempranillo from vineyards over 25 years old.

• FEATURES:
Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 48 hours. Controlled fermentation below 28º C with autochthonous yeasts.

• TASTING CARD:
Cherry red color with garnet rim, medium layer. Clean and bright. Medium high aromatic intensity. Very pleasant nose with notes of red and black berries, blackberries, raspberries and berries. Licorice Memories. Subtle well-integrated oak touches. On the palate soft, fresh and pleasant entry. Easy mid palate thanks to a very polished and silky tannin. Length and persistence in the aftertaste.

• SERVING TEMPERATURE:
17ºC.

Escondido Selected Harvest

• GRADUATION:
14,2%.

• COMPOSICIÓN VARIETAL:
100% Tempranillo from vineyards up to 100 years old.

• FEATURES:
Strict selection of the grapes from the oldest vineyards, including some centuries old, with yields of less than 2,500 Kg/Ha. Fermentation is carried out in a controlled manner below 28ºC with 25-day macerations. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in French barrels.

• AGING:
18 months in 100% French barrels.

• TASTING CARD:
Clean and bright, with a high robe. Picota cherry red color with garnet rims. On the nose, the notes of wood such as coffee, cocoa, and spices stand out, well integrated with aromas of very ripe fruits (figs and plums). On the palate it is elegant and silky, with a balanced mid palate. The aftertaste leaves mineral and licorice memories.
